First vows in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso)
With great joy, we have welcome into our Congregation two new sisters
who pronounced their first vows in
Ouagadougou on 8th December, 2002.
Mariette Macozi Kaputa, Congolese, born 7th April 1976.
Clementine Mukampabuka, rwandese, born 25th July 1973.
They expressed their joy in a letter addressed to the congregation: "Our
desire to have closer ties with Jesus, whom we want to announce, was the central
theme of our commitment at the service of Africa.
That ties in also with the desire of Mother Marie Salome who said to the Sisters:
'My wish for you is Jesus!'
Yes, Jesus whom we have encountered, has awakened in us a strong desire to
follow Him.
Great is our joy to be carriers of the One that we have discovered, learned
to know and to love...
Jesus, who has befriended us to be his messengers!
We are happy to belong to the same family whose members are bound by the same
vocation: the love of Jesus and of Africa. We thank all of you for the sisterly
affection surrounding us during this Profession."
