SETTING OFF FOR AFRICA?
An idea buzzing in your head …?
Your heart's desire for a long while…?
A calling you feel within yourself…?

SETTING OFF FOR AFRICA REQUIRES PREPARARATION

We are offering to walk with you in your search. How?

- You can take part in a mutually enriching weekend during which you will meet other young people who have already been there. You can talk to them, ask questions and gain information.

- You can come and speak with the Sisters of the community who all have a good experience in a variety of Africa countries.

Before any departure, it is important to ask some questions:

- What is compelling me to travel?
- How do I want to spend this time of interchange with the people of Africa?
- What does sharing the life of an international missionary Sisters' community mean to me?

Taking the time to prepare properly for a stay in Africa is important!

- There is material preparation : (travel, visa, vaccinations …)
- An introduction to the culture you are going to come across
- And a spiritual proposal

DIFFERENT WAYS OF SETTING OFF: ALONE OR IN A GROUP

- A 3-week journey to Africa, during the summer,
Organised by the White Sisters and White Fathers - Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa and the Missionaries of Africa

You meet up with other young people from different European countries to discover a country, its population, its Church… together, relying on the experience and knowledge of the Fathers and Sisters resident on the spot.

- You want to share the life of one of our communities in Africa for a few weeks or months

A personal or professional project is leading you to take this step:
You want to give your time to share your talents and professional competences with Africans.
You seek to benefit from the deep-rooted residence of the missionary community of Sisters in a village or neighbourhood, from which to go out and meet the people.
You seek to share your faith and take advantage of your residence in a religious community to deepen your relationship with God.

We invite you to get in touch with the Sisters of the youth welcoming community.
