When someone wishes to live the life of a Missionary Sister of Our lady of Africa (MSOLA),
she is invited to undertake a formation that continues for several years.

This formation is individualized as to its length and the stages.
It is lived out in an international environment except for the first step.

This formation comprises several Phases :

1. After a period of getting to know one another, the MSOLA receives the candidate in community in her country of origin.
2. She spends 18 months in a community in Africa for an initiation to the religious apostolic life of the Msola..."in a field" with a professionnal activity. She joins the other candidates who are at the same point in their formation, for 5 months study in the noviciate house.
3. The principal stage of formation is the International Noviciate in Africa. This is a time of prayer et contemplation, for getting to know the Msola charism more deeply, and for discernement in view of a commitment with vows. This phase lasts 12 months ( in the noviciate community) followed by some months in another apostolic community
4. Six years of temporary vows in a commited community with an apostolate in Africa, enable the young sister to take root and to progressively identify as a Msola.
5. The Juniorate is a stage in the formation that prepares the young professed sister for perpetual vows. (In Rome)
   
6. A theological formation (and if necessary, professionnal), is an essential element in the formation of a Msola.

There are some conditions :

To wish to commit yourself to the way of a consecrated life following Christ and his gospel
To appreciate the values of Africa and other cultures.
To be aged between 20 and 40 years (but each person is unique, so don't hesitate to come for a chat)
To have completed secondary school ( French BAC) or to have a profession.
